Please be respectful when you visit and follow these protocols:
Please dress modestly. It helps when it comes to sitting comfortably on the carpeted floor in the darbar (prayer hall).
Cover your head at all times whilst in the gurdwara with a bandana, cloth, or scarf (provided if needed). Hats and ball caps are not recommended.
Remove your shoes and wash your hands before going upstairs to the darbar.
Bow respectfully before the Guru Granth Sahib (our holy scriptures). If you do not feel comfortable bowing, it is appropriate to simply sit down.
You may offer a donation, such as food items, flowers, or money.
Sit quietly on the floor with your legs crossed and face towards the Guru Granth Sahib. Please do not sit with legs extended or feet pointed towards the Guru Granth Sahib.
Accept parsaad with your hands together, palms upward and open, and with head covered.
Enjoy a vegetarian meal in the langar hall (the guru’s free community kitchen)
No smoking, drugs or drinking are allowed on the premises.
